When the sky is dark,
Cloudy and stark...
When rain drops,
And smiles stop...
Others may run to hide,
But I stand idly by,
Because, you see,
You are so much to me.
You are my sunshine, warm and bright.
You are a moon beam, full of light...
You are like the air I breathe,
A necessary part of life to me.
Like food, like water,
Without which, life would falter.
Sometimes sweet, sometimes bitter,
Required to make life all the richer.
You are teardrops, you are laughter,
Sent down from the ever-after,
The truth of love, never a lie
A part of life never to deny.
A gift from God,
Leaving all truly awed,
You are my sun, my sun...
You... You are my sons.
